About

Hi, I'm Alec. I love software, physics and math, among other things. This is my place to share my thoughts on everything technical as well as some personal projects. I've worked as a software developer professionally and studied physics at Arizona State University. I already enjoyed math and physics coming out of high school, but learning to code really made it all feel like magic, especially game development. Writing a program is in many ways just like making a physical machine; you make the parts, assemble them, then watch it do (with any luck) what you intended it to do. And to make it do the most interesting things, you need math. And to make it look like something real, it helps to know some physics.

And I love talking about these things, and learning from and assisting others. As fun as they can be, they can also be challenging and frustrating. So it's good if we can help each other out, and more fun that way anyways. Feel free to contact me if it seems like I could help, or if you just have something you'd like to chat about.
